J&M-Spotlight
J&M-Spotlight
Edition 4/2008 Deutsche Version

Dear Readers,

VorstandGiven the current uncertain economic climate, companies would be well advised to optimise their liquidity and manage their costs in the short term, without endangering the long-term objectives which will make the business successful. The focus required to successfully tackle today’s challenges will differ from company to company: at Krones, LEAN methods are leading to significant improvements, at Chemion it is SAP support for order management, at Siemens a computer-based learning programme and at Haupt Pharma, integrated quality management.

But the subject of sustainability is also set to gain in importance again, following the election of the new US President. The Green SCM study by J&M and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Managementforschung shows that the potential for optimisation may also lie here, but that above all it opens up opportunities for growth. Read this issue for more on the subject.

I hope you enjoy reading the latest publication.
