Dear Readers,
Having suffered a 2.5% drop in the first quarter of 2009, the European economy only shrank by a further 0.1% in the second quarter of the year. Economists have amended their forecasts for the next financial year to growth of up to 2%, and the previous atmosphere of doom and gloom has lifted. Good companies are already acting now - for instance by optimising their working capital.
